INTRODUCTION

This is the Privacy Policy for the Cord Recruitment Group of companies which include: Cord Engineering Recruitment, Cord IT Recruitment and Cord Executive Recruitment (Cord Consultants Pty Limited) and Cord Industrial Recruitment (Cord Personnel Recruiters Pty Ltd). Cord Recruitment Group collects information from individuals who apply to us to use our services to find work. Information is collected by submission of resume, completion of application forms, record or interview in person or by telephone, and mutually agreed referees. Information is also collected if we receive the results of a competency or medical test, performance feedback, workplace accident, workplace complaint report, or reports from any insurance investigation, litigation, professional disciplinary matter, criminal matter, or other inquiry in which you are involved. If you do not give us the information that we seek we may be limited in our ability to locate suitable work for you, or to place you in work.

USE OF INFORMATION

Information may be used in connection with actual or potential work placement, performance appraisals, assessment of ongoing performance, workplace rehabilitation, identification of training needs, or the management of any complaint, investigation, or injury.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES

Your information will not be intentionally disclosed to third parties, unless you consent to the disclosure of your information to third parties, and with the exception of workers compensation body, our insurers, and any person or organization with a lawful entitlement to obtain your information. Your information can be accessed by any employee (including IT support persons or database designers) of Cord Recruitment Group.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION

You have a right to see and request a copy of the information about you that is held by Cord Recruitment Group with some exceptions set out in the National Privacy Principles (Principle 6). We are entitled to impose a moderate charge for providing access to your information. If you are able to establish that information that we hold about you is not accurate, complete or current, we will take reasonable steps to correct your information. If we are unable to agree that information that we hold about you is accurate, complete or current, you may ask us to place with the information a statement by you that claims that particular information is not accurate, complete or current.
